Aprilynne Pike has been spinning faerie stories since she was a child with a hyperactive imagination. At the age of 20, she received her BA in Creative Writing from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. When not writing, Pike can usually be found at the gym; she also enjoys singing, acting, reading, and working with pregnant mothers as a childbirth educator and doula. Pike currently lives with her husband and three kids in Utah, and dreams of warmer climates.
Hobbies, Interests, and Enthusiasms
I am a gym rat, who loves to work out, particularly running, Zumba, yoga, cycling, and kickboxing. I am also a doula and childbirth educator, and working with pregnant mothers is a huge passion of mine. I love music, singing, and playing piano (though I'm not very good). And I adore musical theater. Like most authors, I also love to read.
Education
Lewis-Clark State College (BA, Creative Writing)

I'm working on the sequel to Wings, entitled Spells. I'm so excited about this book because for the first time I will be taking readers right into Avalon! Readers will also get to see Tamani in his own environment, and to see David and Laurel together as a couple. In addition, Chelsea fans will be pleased to know that she plays a much bigger role in the sequel. In addition, I have finished a stand-alone novel about a klepto-ghost that is also a modern retelling of The Scarlet Pimpernel. There are not nearly enough Scarlet Pimpernel stories out there, in my opinion. I have two other stand-alones in my head, still percolating.:)
